The Digital Saksharta Abhiyan (DISHA) or National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM) Scheme has been formulated/Start to impart knowledge of  IT training to 52.5 lakh persons, including Anganwadi workers/helpers/supervisors/Teachers/Students/Illiterate people,authorised ration dealers etc. in all the States/UTs across the country so that the non-IT literate citizens are trained to become IT literate so as to enable them to actively and effectively participate in the democratic and developmental process and also enhance their livelihood and can create a literate environment .

Altogether 52.5 lakh persons, including Anganwadi and ASHA workers and authorised ration dealers will be trained under the programme in two phases. In the first phase, 10 lakh beneficiaries will be trained under the scheme. Nine lakh beneficiaries will be eligible for training fee support from the government. The rest 100,000 beneficiaries will be trained by the industry and civil society partners.www.ndlm.in


Course on Computer Education for Village Level Entrepreneurs Course on Computer Education for Village Level Entrepreneurs in Rural India through DOEACC Society is a project supported by the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Government of India. The objective of the project is to train 1,00,000 CSC Operators/ Village Level Entrepreneurs on NIELIT’s (earlier known as DOEACC) Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) in all the States of India. The total duration of the course is 80 hours. The Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) has given its approval for the revised 'Course on Computer Education for Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) scheme guidelines. Under this project, 50,000 VLEs will be trained across the country within March 2014 and the remaining 50,000 VLEs to be trained by March 2015.

Medium of Instruction Official Languages of India

Fee For SC/ ST/ BPL Households, no training fee payable and for General candidates, course fee of Rs. 125 to 300 applicable.

Place of Learning The eligible households/person can nominate one person from their family. The selected person to get himself enrolled under this programme in a nearest Training Centre in Delhi VIPS FOUNDATION Evaluation Independent external evaluation will be conducted by a National level certifying agency like NIELIT, NIOS, IGNOU, HKCL ,ICTACT etc www.vipsfoundation.org.
